About Aquarias
Built by people tired of cancellation flows.
Aquarias was founded in 2020 by four operators who'd watched the consumer subscription category mature into something genuinely useful — and equally genuinely overwhelming. The average household runs twelve digital subscriptions; the average household has lost track of three of them. We built a calm utility for the new reality: discover what's worth subscribing to, manage what you've already subscribed to, audit periodically, and never get trapped in a cancellation flow designed to wear you down.
How we make money
Marketplace transaction fees and member subscriptions. We're explicit about this because the category is full of services that monetize through dark patterns — affiliate kickbacks for keeping you subscribed, intentional cancellation friction, opaque fee structures. We don't do those things. Your interests and ours are aligned around long-term member retention, not short-term subscription extension.
How auditing works
Subscription audits review your active subscriptions across our marketplace and any external services you connect. We identify overlap (paying for two cloud storage services), underuse (a subscription you used three times this year), value erosion (a subscription whose price has crept past what you'd pay if asked fresh), and dark-pattern subscriptions (the ones designed to be hard to cancel). Average member saves $312 a year on the first audit alone.
Who we serve
Households and individuals running 5+ active digital subscriptions. Families coordinating shared subscriptions across multiple users. Freelancers and small businesses tracking subscription expenses for tax purposes. Indie creators and small SaaS brands listing subscription products on our marketplace.
